Sergei Kuksin - (Universite Paris-Diderot) - The K41 theory and its rigorous 1d model

I will recall  basics of the Kolmogorov theory  of turbulence, how it is usually understood now. Then I will present a 1d model for the theory, given by the stochastic Burgers equation, and show that the corresponding results make a natural rigorous  1d analogy of the Kolmogorov theory. The talk is based on the recent  book  Boritchev, Kuksin “One-dimensional turbulence and the stochastic Burgers equation”, AMS 2021.
