Coupling "fluids"

I'm Francesco Picella, Maître de Conférences (Assistant Professor) at Institut ∂'Alembert, Sorbone Université (France).

I study the physics leading to transitions and instabilities in hydrodynamically coupled systems.

My research tools are mainly theoretical modelling and numerical simulations, mainly with BASILISK.

With H. de Maleprade, we work on the dynamics of swimming microorganisms.

SHORT CV

  • 2015 Double Degree Masters in Aerospace Engineering. Politecnico di Bari, ENSAM, UPMC and Ecole Polytechnique France

I like cycling, climbing and sailing.

Cooking, travelling and fixing old cars is a plus.

When not in Paris, you can find me somewhere on the Pyrenees with my lovely LINA.
