A few studies about thin film drainage.

During this talk, I shall discuss some issues regarding the contact between a droplet and surface. I shall present two numerical studies, the first one dealing with the inertial impact of a drop on a solid surface, the second one the slow deposition of a droplet onto a liquid film. In both cases, I shall discuss the touchdown singularities and the geometry of the dimple appearing underneath the drop.
